Amanda Installation Checklist
HOWTO: Install amanda
AMANDA WEB Site: http://www.amanda.org
Install Notes:
If you need to get the source and build:
beast:/beast/info/src/amanda(version).tar.gz
Or get from: ftp://ftp.amanda.org/pub/amanda
uncompress and untar archives
cd into amanda directory:
./configure --with-user=operator --with-group=operator
make
make check
make install
If you want to allow any one in group operator to do restores
you need to add write permissions to the directory
/etc/amanda/log+debug/
and the files
/etc/amanda/log+debug//curinfo.*
